Fugu
Fugu is a file transfer program for Macintosh versions 10.2.3 and newer with BSD subsystem installed. You can use it to connect to the Unity file system and securely transfer files between your Home folder and another location. Your password is protected during transfers.

Transferring between your computer and your Unity file space or Unity locker
- Double-click on the Hard Drive icon on your desktop.
- Open the Applications folder.
- Scroll to the Fugu icon and double-click on it.
- In the Connect to field, type: ftp.ncsu.edu
- In the Username field, type your Unity ID.
- Leave the Port field blank.
- If you are connecting to your
- Unity file space: Leave the Directory text box blank.
- Unity locker: Type the complete locker path (/afs/...) into the Directory text box.
- Click on the Connect button.
- When prompted, enter your Unity password.
- Click on the Authenticate button.
- Your local machine should appear on the left (labeled "Local" at the bottom).
The Home folder in your Unity file space should appear on the right (labeled "ftp.ncsu.edu").
To move a file from one of these locations to the other, just drag-and-drop. - When you are finished with all your transfers, quit Fugu to close the connection.
Transferring to or from another person's Home folder, a course locker, or a personal locker
- Contact the owner of the particular folder or locker and make sure that you have sufficient access privileges for the type of transfer you want to make.
- Follow steps 1-6 above, entering ftp.ncsu.edu and your Unity ID as indicated.
- In the Directory text box, type the desired path from the table below.
For file transfer

Home folder/afs/unity/users/initial/ownerid/folder Course locker /afs/unity/lockers/class/course/folder Personal locker /afs/unity/lockers/users/initial/ownerid/folder Be sure to change:
- course to the official NC State designation for the course
- folder to the name of the desired folder inside the Home folder or locker
- initial to the first letter of the Unity ID of the owner of the Home folder or personal locker
- ownerid to the Unity ID of the owner of the Home folder or personal locker
- Click on the Connect button.
- When prompted, enter your Unity password.
- Click on the Authenticate button.
- Your Unity file space appears on the right (labeled "ftp.ncsu.edu").
On the left you should see the contents of the folder in the other Home folder, course locker or personal locker. - Drag-and-drop the desired file.
- When you are finished with all your transfers, quit Fugu to close the connection.
