Trend Micro OfficeScan automatically updates itself on a daily basis, receiving virus definitions and product updates from NCSU-maintained parent servers.  In order to facilitate proper communication between the parent servers and your antivirus client, certain ports should be opened in your firewall.

Windows Firewall (built-in for Windows XP and Vista):

• You should not need to make any changes.

Third-party firewalls (such as ZoneAlarm, etc.):

• TCP 21264 (scope: 152.1.7.0/24, or 152.1.7.0/255.255.255.0)
• TCP 8080 (scope: 152.1.7.0/24, or 152.1.7.0/255.255.255.0)
