To schedule an automatic virus scan in Intego VirusBarrier, follow these steps:

1. Open your Applications folder and double-click on the VirusBarrier X5 icon.
   
2. The VirusBarrier X5 window will appear.  Find the Schedules section of the window, located at the top-left of the window.  Click the black arrow.

   

3. The VirusBarrier preferences window will appear, and display the Schedule & Events settings.
   
4. Locate the Schedule section at the bottom of the window.  Place a check in the box next to Schedule, and make sure that Scan is selected in the drop-down menu to the right.
   
5. In the box just below the Schedule checkbox, specify some settings for your scheduled virus scan:
   
   • what drives, files or folders to scan
   • what day to scan
   • what time of the day to scan

   

6. If you wish to add additional scans, use the + and - buttons at the right to add new entries to the list.
7. Close the preferences window, then close VirusBarrier.
