How NC State Uses Your E-mail Address
NC State sends certain important and timely information to students and University employees by e-mail only. This includes information about classes, student accounts, eBILLs, employment, benefits. To ensure that you receive these mailings, it is vital that you update your e-mail address as soon as it changes.
Multiple E-mail Addressess
Depending on your status, NC State keeps up to three e-mail addresses for you -- Unity, Business, and Other -- as shown in the table below. If you'd rather forward your Unity mail to another address, see e-mail Forwarding.

Preferred E-mail Address
Based on your status, the University also designates a Preferred addresses for you. It will be the only address the University will use for official e-mail communication. The following table summarizes the Preferred addresses for various individuals.
