The campus-wide student email task force recently submitted its report and recommendations to CIO Marc Hoit. The report, Evaluation of Student Email Services: Options for the Future, is now available online.

Dr. Hoit formed the student email task force in October 2008 “to review and evaluate student email services offered by the Office of Information Technology and determine the best path forward to support current and future student needs.” The report includes the recommendation that student email be migrated to Google Apps Education Edition. During the coming weeks Dr. Hoit will be meeting with the task force and campus leaders and then will make a decision on the recommendations contained in the report.
