Options for using Gaussian

NC State worked for a number of years to obtain a license for Gaussian. During this time some options have been arranged for access to Gaussian (in addition to it being available on NC State HPC resources).

A couple options exist for NC State researchers who require access to Gaussian.

  • ECU - East Carolina University has a Gaussian license that permits use by non-ECU users. Also ECU is operating SGI systems partially funded by NSF grants that provide limited access to non-ECU users. NC State faculty can request access to the ECU resource through a form under the resource link on the ECU Center for Applied Computational Studies web site.
  • Computational Chemistry Grid - Grid Chem is an NSF funded project that provides access to computational chemistry resources from a number of university, state, and national HPC sites (U of Kentucky, LSU, NCSA, TACC, and OSC). Gaussian is available at most - or perhaps all - of these sites. Visit http://www.gridchem.org/ for more information and to request an account.
