Welcome to the Managed Desktop Project
The Managed/Virtual Desktop committee was appointed by Dr. Marc Hoit in the Summer of 2009. The committee is charged with developiong a campus strategy for managed and virtual desktops. The committee will draw its recommendations from peer institutions and industry standards. Pilot projects and implementations of strategies will come after campus feedback. After the work of the committee is completed, a strategic vision for the campus will be adopted and approved by the campus entities. We hope to see a more secure, cost effective, and cohesive policy which also embraces the innovation and creativity of our technology rich university.
