Computer Security Day

Computer Security Day a huge success

Thank you for attending the OIT Computer Security Day 2009: Cybersecurity Self Defense on Oct. 26. By all accounts, this event was a huge success! And we owe a great thanks to all participants.

In addition to providing informative IT security presentations, this event provided excellent opportunities for professional development and networking. More than 175 people attended.

Computer Security Day featured three presentation tracks (general, technical and mixed) with 12 security sessions along with an opening address by Dr. Marc Hoit, NC State's Vice Chancellor for Information Technology, and a keynote address, "Secure Thinking," by Jeff Crume of IBM. Both presentations can be viewed on NC State's iTunes Web site. To view available material for other event presentations, click here.

Special thanks to IBM for their breakfast sponsorship and to all vendors who attended and provided door prizes.
