Chancellor James Oblinger has announced that Dr. Marc I. Hoit will become NC State’s first Vice Chancellor for Information Technology. As NC State’s Chief iInformation Officer, Dr. Hoit will lead the Office of Information Technology and will have overall responsibility for the university’s research, academic, and administrative IT activities.The selection of Dr. Hoit was made after a lengthy national search and was approved by the University’s Board of Trustees on May 7, 2008.
