NC State celebrates America Recycles Day on Nov. 15
Recycling will be the focus at NC State University’s America Recycles Day on Tuesday, Nov. 15 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Centennial Campus at the corner of Partners Way and Main Campus Drive.
Sponsored by Shimar Recycling, Synergy Recycling and the NC State Waste Reduction and Recycling Office, the electronic recycling and paper shredding drive will be open and free to the campus community and to the public.
Recyclable Electronics include: (Anything with a cord and more!)
* Computers – CPU’s and laptops, main frames
* Monitors –CRT’s and flat screens
* Telephones
* Cell phones
* CD’s and DVD’s (with cases)
* Fax machines/office equipment
* Printers and copiers
* Rechargeable batteries
* Electronic circuit boards and components
* Stereo equipment, games, PDA’s
*Televisions (There is a $5 per small TV and $10 per large TV).
Shredding includes:
* Mixed paper
* Light cardboard
* Limit up to 8 boxes at 50 pounds each!
