Hoit featured in The News and Observer’s “Gig.U” article

Dr. Marc Hoit, NC State’s Vice Chancellor for Information Technology, was featured Feb. 23 in The News and Observer article, Gig.U tries to bring more bandwidth to 7-county  metro area. Gig.U is a partnership between 37 universities and their neighboring communities to bring high-speed bandwidth to their respective areas.   In the article, Hoit commented that the “increased bandwidth could reinvigorate the Triangle’s economy, and add to the already rich digital landscape the universities have created.”
