Cyber Security Awareness Month: Mobile Security Device Checkpoint on Oct. 16

Data on your mobile devices grows everyday and you want to keep it safe. If your device is lost, stolen or infected with a virus, this information would be difficult to replace or it could be used by someone else. Stop by the Mobile Device Security checkpoint on Wednesday, Oct. 16 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the Brickyard to run a quick diagnostic tool on your iPhone or Android phone, your Windows or Mac laptop, or your iPad to see if your device is protected against the most common risks. The entire campus community is invited.

This event is co-sponsored by the Office of Information Technology, the NC State Department of Computer Science, ePartners Program, and the NC State Engineering Foundation. Come and enjoy some refreshments and giveaways.

There will be various Cyber Security activities offered throughout the month of October. For more information, visit the Cyber Security Awareness Month website.
