CrashPlan – Client 4.4.1 was delayed due to server 5.0.3 update expected Jan 27, 2016.  Client 5.x updates after Jan 27th on request.  See sysnews.ncsu.edu/news/568aa88e

NetBoot – 10.11.2 (nuke10112.nbi & sh) has been added to the netboot server, will be to adding makekiosk.nbi/sh and makesign.nbi/sh before Feb MacTech for use with new/clean OS X machines.

AutoPKGR – no new packages, however clean up requests will be coming out after Jan 25, 2016

Kaspersky for OS X – new version Application 10.0.0.327/Network Agent 10.0.1.16  See: NCSU-Campus-Kaspersky Network Agent10_1_0_16.pkg.zip at https://nc.jamfcloud.com/packages.html?id=3204&o=r&o=r.  Client app will not be applied until server updates are made (watch sysnews.ncsu.edu)

5) Tech Short: Using a No OS NetInstall with the Apple Certified Image – 30 min

Apple has introduced a feature of System Image Utility that allows us to create a NetInstall set that does not install OS X but instead installs post install packages, runs configuration scripts and applies profiles.  This provides another simple way to add  software and configuration to new/clean machines easily. Combine this with first boot script installers as discussed in Dec MacTech and simple “drag” installers to create easily maintained appliance configurations.  Discussion
