The Office of Research, Innovation and Economic Development (ORIED), the Office of Information Technology (OIT) and several core facilities worked collaboratively to develop a comprehensive Lab Management system that will automate billings, enhance equipment scheduling, enforce training, and add additional efficiency to campus laboratories.
Lab Management was built using the Mendix application platform and will be used by students, faculty, lab managers and external customers.
The first four labs to begin using the application are:
- Analytical Instrumentation Facility (AIF)
- Genomics Sciences Laboratory (GSL)
- Cellular and Imaging Molecular Facility (CMIF)
- X-ray Structure Facility
