  • Cisco WebEx will be offered on Monday, Feb. 19 from noon to 1 p.m. in Room 110 of the Avent Ferry Technology Center. This Lunch and Learn event will provide an overview of how Cisco WebEx Online Meetings enable you to virtually meet, share content and video conference with anyone in the world with an internet connection, including mobile users!   • The New Google Calendar will be offered on Tuesday, Feb. 20 and Tuesday, March 13 from 9 a.m. to noon in Room 110 of the Avent Ferry Technology Center.   • Intermediate WordPress: Content Management will be offered on Tuesday, Feb. 20 from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. in Room 110 of the Avent Ferry Technology Center. In this workshop, you will learn about effective information architecture, the difference between good content and bad content and how to ensure your website is accessible to users with disabilities.   • Accessible Course Design will be offered on Wednesday, Feb. 21 from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. in ITTC Lab 1 of the D.H. Hill Library. Learn how to create accessible online content and make your online courses inclusive. Instructors will focus on the use of headings, course organization, video captions, and accessible math equations in Moodle and Microsoft Word. To register, visit REPORTER.
  • Gmail: Advanced Productivity will be offered on Thursday, Feb. 22 from 9 a.m. to noon in Room 110 of the Avent Ferry Technology Center. Building on Gmail: More Than Your Inbox, this advanced hands-on workshop takes Gmail to the next level. You will learn more about labels, filters, canned responses, scheduling Google Calendar Events, Hangouts, using Google Drive through Gmail, and any planned or newly released features.   • Google Sheets will be offered on Thursday, Feb. 22 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. in Room 110 of the Avent Ferry Technology Center. This introduction class will focus on several specific features, including formatting options, data validation, basic functions, charts, conditional formatting, and more! To register, visit REPORTER.
  • Android Mobile Device Security will be offered on Tuesday, Feb. 27 from noon to 1 p.m. in Room 106 of the Avent Ferry Technology Center. Do you know if your Android is really secure? Have you implemented the right security measures? Participants will be guided through step-by-step recommendations — and requirements if you have a university-owned device — to secure your Android devices. To register, visit REPORTER.
  • Introduction to Google Hangouts will be offered on Tuesday, Feb. 27 from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. in Room 110 of the Avent Ferry Technology Center. Join us for this fun and interactive workshop to learn about Google Hangouts, Google’s free web conferencing tool that allows you to communicate with others on campus or around the globe via video, audio and text messaging.   • Create, Collaborate & Get Organized with Google Drive will be offered on Wednesday, Feb. 28 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. in Room 110 of the Avent Ferry Technology Center. During this introductory hands-on workshop, you will learn how to use Drive to manage your resources in a collaborative environment. Primary topics will include organizing files and folders, securing documents through file sharing permissions, group editing and collaboration, and common tools throughout Google’s suite of apps.   • Gmail: More Than Your Inbox will be offered on Thursday, March 1 from 9 a.m. to noon in Room 110 of the Avent Ferry Technology Center. There is more to Gmail than just composing, replying to and forwarding messages. This workshop will provide an in-depth overview of Gmail features, including an emphasis on labels and search tools, contacts management, chat, tasks, settings, labs, and new features.   • Intermediate WordPress: Gutenberg for Content Creators will be offered on Wednesday, March 7 from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. in Room 108 of the Avent Ferry Technology Center and Thursday, March 15 from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. online via YouTube Live. Gutenberg is the next-generation WordPress post and page editor, replacing the Visual Editor that has been the default editor for the last 12 years. In this workshop, attendees will get to know Gutenberg, learn how to build block-based posts and pages and receive helpful tips, so they can hit the ground running when Gutenberg is officially released.   • Intermediate WordPress: Gutenberg for Site Administrators will be offered on Thursday, March 8 from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. online via YouTube Live. Gutenberg is the next-generation WordPress post and page editor, replacing the Visual Editor that has been the default editor for the last 12 years. In this workshop, site administrators will learn about available options in version 5.0 and how to prepare for Gutenberg with data from user testing. To register, visit REPORTER.
  • Introduction to Final Cut will be offered on Tuesday, March 13 from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. in ITTC Lab 2 of the D.H. Hill Library. In this hands-on class, attendees will look at the Final Cut Pro 10.3 interface and will learn how to import footage, explore different ways to edit and apply effects, add titles, adjust audio, look at compound clips, and export a finished product.   • Report2Web will be offered on Tuesday, March 13 from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. in Room 110 of the Avent Ferry Technology Center. Report2Web is a web-based enterprise report distribution, archival and retrieval solution that allows you to access critical business documents using a standard web browser. During this course, you will learn how to navigate and find reports to which you have access and approve reports, if you are an approver. To register, visit REPORTER.
  • Two-Factor Authentication at NC State will be offered on Wednesday, March 14 from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. in Room 110 of the Avent Ferry Technology Center. NC State uses two multi-factor solutions to protect many systems, accounts and services. Google 2-Step protects G Suite accounts and Duo protects Shibboleth-connected services, like the MyPack Portal and WolfWare. During this workshop, you’ll learn the risks to you and to campus from phishing and other nefarious online activities and how two-factor authentication can protect you and the university against cyber threats.   • Cisco Jabber: Your all in one Collaboration Tool! will be offered on Wednesday, March 14 from noon to 1 p.m. in Room 110 of the Avent Ferry Technology Center. This Lunch and Learn will provide an overview of how Cisco Jabber streamlines communications and enhances productivity by unifying presence, instant messaging, voice, video, voice messaging, screen sharing, and conferencing capabilities securely into one client on your desktop and mobile device.   • macOS Essentials will be offered on Thursday, March 15 from noon to 1 p.m. in Room 106 of the Avent Ferry Technology Center. Join Apple campus reps to learn how to get started with your new Mac. This one-hour session will focus on setting up iCloud, Google accounts and basic customization. Bring your questions and leave feeling more comfortable with your Mac devices.
