  • OIT Co-working – Persona will be offered on Friday, March 15 from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. in Room 106 of the Avent Ferry Technology Center. Persona is an attribute-based, event-driven people grouping service. It allows users to create groups of people based on attributes, reporting structure, and inclusion or exclusion of other groups or individuals. To register, visit REPORTER.
  • Advanced Forms will be offered on Wednesday, March 20 from noon to 1 p.m. online via YouTube LiveLearn how to take your Forms to the next level! This YouTube Live session will provide a look at the advanced features available in Google Forms. Some topics include add-ons, pre-filled form links, branching, sections and pages, response validation, and more! To register, visit REPORTER.
  • Create, Collaborate & Get Organized with Google Drive will be offered on Thursday, March 21 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. in Room 110 of the Avent Ferry Technology Center. During this introductory hands-on workshop, you will learn how to use Drive to manage your resources in a collaborative environment. Primary topics will include organizing files and folders, securing documents through file sharing permissions, group editing and collaboration, and common tools throughout Google’s suite of apps.   • Gmail: Advanced Productivity will be offered on Tuesday, March 26 from 9 a.m. to noon in Room 110 of the Avent Ferry Technology Center. Building on Gmail: More Than Your Inbox, this advanced hands-on workshop takes Gmail to the next level. You will learn more about labels, filters, canned responses, scheduling Google Calendar Events, Hangouts, and using Google Drive through Gmail, along with any planned or newly released Google features.   • Report2Web will be offered on Tuesday, March 26 from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. in Room 110 of the Avent Ferry Technology Center. Report2Web is a web-based enterprise report distribution, archival and retrieval solution that allows you to access critical business documents using a standard web browser. During this course, you will learn how to navigate and find reports to which you have access and approve reports, if you are an approver. To register, visit REPORTER.
  • Basics of WordPress will be offered on Wednesday, March 27 from 10 a.m. to noon in Room 110 of the Avent Ferry Technology Center. Learn everything you need to know to get started using WordPress here at NC State. This workshop will cover topics including setup, configuration, themes, plugins, settings, options, and management of WordPress. To register, visit REPORTER.
  • Cisco WebEx will be offered on Wednesday, March 27 from noon to 1 p.m. in Room 110 of the Avent Ferry Technology Center. This Lunch & Learn event will provide an overview of how Cisco WebEx Online Meetings enables you to virtually meet, share content and video conference with anyone in the world with an internet connection, including mobile users.   • Logging 101 with Splunk will be offered on Thursday, March 28 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Room 106 of the Avent Ferry Technology Center. In this hands-on workshop, you will learn about Splunk, how it works and how you can find the information you need in it. Matt Portnoy of Splunk will lead a custom “search party” tailored to NC State’s technical and compliance needs.   • Introduction to Google Sites will be offered on Thursday, March 28 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. in Room 110 of the Avent Ferry Technology Center. Explore the new user-friendly interface of Google Sites with drag and drop functionality. You will learn how to build a new site, create and organize new pages; choose themes (color schemes, font styles); embed Google Drive folders and files; add images, videos and URLs; implement customization and basic web design principles; set permissions; and publish and update pages.   • Jamf Pro Best Practices for Packagers will be offered on Thursday, March 28 from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. in Room B3 of the Hillsborough Building. Everette Allen of OIT will discuss best practices on how to use Jamf Pro to configure OS X devices and install software. To register, visit REPORTER.
  • Gmail: More Than Your Inbox will be offered on Tuesday, April 2 from 9 a.m. to noon in Room 110 of the Avent Ferry Technology Center. There is more to Gmail than just composing, replying to and forwarding messages. This workshop will provide an in-depth overview of Gmail features, including an emphasis on labels and search tools, contacts management, chat, tasks, settings, labs, and new features.   • Google Slides: Animations will be offered on Wednesday, April 3 from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. in Room 110 of the Avent Ferry Technology Center. In this fun session, you’ll learn how to use animations and transitions in Google Slides to add interest and interactivity to your presentations. To register, visit REPORTER.
  • Google Sheets will be offered on Wednesday, April 10 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. in Room 110 of the Avent Ferry Technology Center. Join us for this introduction to Google Sheets and learn how it integrates with other apps in Google Drive. We’ll also focus on several specific features, including formatting options, data validation, basic functions, charts, conditional formatting, and more. To register, visit REPORTER.
  • Google Calendar: Advanced Productivity will be offered on Thursday, April 11 from 9 a.m. to noon in Room 110 of the Avent Ferry Technology Center. If you’re comfortable with the basics of Google Calendar and are ready to use more of its features, this hands-on workshop is for you. This workshop will focus on the new Calendar interface, event details and Calendar management. Specific features will include event attachments, maps and directions, sharing and embedding calendars, search options, scheduling Hangouts (video conferencing), and more.   • Advanced OS X Management with Jamf Pro will be offered on Monday, April 15 from 1:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. in Room B3 of the Hillsborough Building. In this hands-on course, we will cover some advanced but simple techniques and best practices to manage OS X devices. We’ll also focus on several specific topics including First Boot, no payload packages for consistent setup, devices enrollment program setup and enrollment policies, volume purchase program setup and app deployment, PreStage enrollments for hands-off deployments, and more. To register, visit REPORTER.
  • System Access Request Training (SAR) is now offered online. This training will provide an overview of the SAR application for campus requesters and approvers and will demonstrate how to submit a SAR request for different connected systems.
