Listen up! WolfBytes Radio recently moved to 88.1 WKNC HD3, a 25,000-watt FM signal that covers the Triangle region.
The move enables WolfBytes and its campus partners to reach a wider audience and provides its student disc jockeys (DJs) a chance to learn on an over-the-air signal.
NC State’s source for current events, weather, university information, and its best music, WolfBytes Radio signed on the air 17 years ago at 1610AM as a musical compliment to the campus cable network, which is now WolfTV. The radio station continued to expand, adding student DJs in 2016 and engaging with the campus community at RecFest, the Chancellor’s Welcome Reception and Packapalooza.
With the move, WolfBytes Radio keeps its hit-driven electronic dance music (EDM) format and continues to stream on the 88.1 WolfBytes Radio website, campus cable television, Tune-in, Online Radio Box, and via the NC State On Campus app.
OIT’s WolfBytes Video Services team operates the radio station.
