On Monday, Sept. 16, OIT will launch the first phase of the new IT Service Portal. Running on the ServiceNow platform, the IT Service Portal will replace the NC State Help Desk website and will be accessible via help.ncsu.edu.
The IT Service Portal will provide you with improved access to knowledge articles — or helpful information about specific services — as well as the ability to submit problems and requests. You can view the progress of your requests and problems that you have submitted. The IT Service Portal will be the preferred method to submit a request for IT help and support instead of emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
The portal will also be a platform to expand OIT’s self-service offerings as more aspects of the IT support process become accessible. To get the full benefit of the new IT Service Portal, you will need to log in with your Unity credentials.
Please note that the IT Service Portal will not replace the MyPack Portal.
