Relevant IT resources put students on the right track to unlock their academic potential at NC State, but connecting students to these resources can be challenging. 

To address this, OIT created “Technology on Campus,” an informational video about essential NC State IT resources and policies, as a part of New Student Programs for incoming Fall 2020 and Spring 2021 students. The upbeat video shows students how they can use IT resources to make the most of their time at NC State. 

The video’s effective content and high-quality production also garnered Best in Category in the Long Promotional Video category for the 2020 SIGUCCS Communications Awards. The 11-minute informative video was created by Louise Flinn of OIT Outreach, Communications and Consulting.

SIGUCCS, short for the Special Interest Group on University and College Computing Services of the Association for Computing Machinery, recognizes excellence in developing useful and attractive publications in a variety of media categories.

Award winners will be recognized this spring in a video honoring all winning entries. As the overall winner in the category, NC State will judge submissions for the 2021 awards.
