The Office of Information Technology (OIT) reminds campus purchasers to submit IT Purchase Compliance requests as soon as possible.
OIT’s IT Purchase Compliance requires a review of all IT purchases of $5,000 or more and all HIPAA, International Traffic in Arms Regulations and Payment Card Industry (PCI)-related purchases, regardless of cost. Reviews typically take anywhere from two to 12 weeks, depending on the complexity of the review and the supplier responsiveness.
An IT product or service must be reviewed before it is purchased to ensure compliance with university standards and federal and state guidelines. Note: You can proactively request reviews of multiple products such as request for proposal (RFP) submissions when trying to find a product that meets your needs and campus requirements. You can also request reviews of purchases under $5,000 as all university IT purchases must meet campus requirements.
