Practice good Wi-Fi etiquette

Did you know your wireless router can disrupt others’ connectivity on NC State’s wireless networks?

Campus Wi-Fi networks including eduroam, ncsu and ncsu-guest use a range of publicly available, unlicensed radio frequencies that are shared among numerous types of devices. When other Wi-Fi-enabled devices use these same frequencies, they can degrade Wi-Fi network performance.

Some devices can cause severe Wi-Fi interference: personal hotspots, wireless printers, cordless phones, wireless routers, and microwave ovens. Help other campus wireless network users get the optimal network connection by practicing good Wi-Fi Etiquette at NC State.
