April is Earth Month: Practice Green IT
Many of us buy new electronics each year to replace older ones that are either outdated or may no longer work; sometimes, we simply want something new. But what happens to the replaced devices, their broken cables and cords, and dead batteries?
Did you know that you can bring these items to campus for proper disposal and recycling? Start your spring recycling at the NC State Earth Fair on Wednesday, April 6 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Stafford Commons. Stop by OIT’s table to learn how to conserve and protect IT resources via interactive and fun games.
The Earth Fair is one of many activities sponsored by the NC State Sustainability Office during Earth Month to show the campus community how to make the world a safer and cleaner place. For more events, see the Sustainability Office’s Earth Month website.
