MCNC president to speak at NC State

Tracy Doaks, president and chief executive officer of MCNC, returns to NC State to speak on  Wednesday, May 18 from 11 a.m. to noon in the Duke Energy Hall of the James B. Hunt Jr. Library. 

An NC State alumna, Doaks will present an interactive presentation on the work MCNC is doing to address digital equity in North Carolina and the importance of increasing and supporting individuals from underrepresented groups in STEM. There will be an opportunity for questions and answers. 

Prior to joining MCNC in August 2020, Doaks served as state chief information officer and secretary for the North Carolina Department of Information Technology.

This in-person event is co-sponsored by NC State’s Women in Technology and the Office of Information Technology’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion team. The event also will be streamed live via Zoom.
