84% of employees complete Data Security Training

To date, 84% of NC State employees, including student employees, have completed the mandatory Data Security Training.

The annual training covers crucial cybersecurity topics and provides tips to better equip employees to recognize cyber threats, such as phishing. Every employee is responsible for helping safeguard the Wolfpack from cyberattacks by protecting university and personal data.

For employees who have not yet completed the training, the 30-minute course is still available in REPORTER in the Required Training section of the Home page. A Certificate of Completion will be sent via email upon successfully reviewing the material, and completion will be recorded in REPORTER as part of the individual’s Training Summary.

Supervisors must verify that their employees have completed the training. See Reviewing Compliance Warnings for detailed instructions on viewing training records in REPORTER. Both employees and their supervisors will be copied on reminders until the training has been completed.

If you have questions about the Data Security Training, contact the NC State Help Desk via the NC State IT Service Portal or call 919.515.4357 (HELP).
