Apple accounts that use an NC State email address must be changed by May 26
If you use an @ncsu.edu email address as your Apple ID for an Apple account, you are required to change your Apple ID to a different email address by May 26, 2024.
NC State has claimed the @ncsu.edu domain with Apple — this means you are no longer able to use any email address that ends in @ncsu.edu to log in to your Apple account. This includes accounts used for university business or on a university-owned device.
You should have received an email from Apple on March 27, as well reminders, prompting you to make this change. Any email addresses not changed by May 26 will be automatically converted by Apple to a temporary address.
If Your Apple Account is Used for University Business or on a University-Owned Apple Device
You should change your Apple ID to <UnityID>@unity.ncsu.edu. This is an email alias that will ensure your account remains associated with NC State. Apple notifications will continue to be sent to your normal NC State Gmail account.
Follow these steps to change your email address.
If Your Apple Account is Used for Personal Reasons or on a Personal Device
This may include access to personal iTunes or iCloud services. Note: NC State will never have access to any of your personal data.
Follow these steps to change your email address.
