Participate in NC State Web Accessibility Challenge

The NC State IT Accessibility Office will kick off its annual Web Accessibility Challenge on May 16, the 13th Global Accessibility Awareness Day (GAAD).

The 2024 Web Accessibility Challenge, which runs until June 20, encourages campus website owners and designers to make accessibility improvements to their websites. It supports GAAD’s mission to get everyone talking, thinking and learning about digital access and inclusion.

Step up to the challenge and make your website more accessible and inclusive. To participate, complete the 2024 NC State Web Accessibility Challenge form between May 16 and June 20. You will be sent an initial accessibility report of your website along with instructions for the challenge.

The challenge will recognize campus websites that improve their overall accessibility errors by the greatest percentage. Challenge winners will be announced in the July edition of OIT News.

You can also sign up to attend a Pope Tech Automated Accessibility Scanner Training Session via REPORTER. For additional educational opportunities, contact the IT Accessibility Office at accessibility@ncsu.edu or 919.513.4087.
