78% of Employees Complete Data Security Training

Decorative

Employees who haven’t taken the university’s mandatory Data Security Training should make plans now to complete it.

To date, 78% of employees, including student employees, have completed the training. Data Security Training is a great way to learn how to identify and prevent cyberattacks that can compromise our community’s devices and data.

The 30-minute course is still available in REPORTER in the Required Training section. New employees must complete the training within 30 days of their start date. Once finished, employees will receive a Certificate of Completion and completion will be recorded in REPORTER as part of the required training portfolio.

Information for Supervisors

  • Campus supervisors must verify that their employees, including unpaid appointments, have completed the training. See Reviewing Compliance Warnings for detailed instructions on viewing training records in REPORTER.
  • College and division Human Resources offices will enter a separation action within 30 days for any unpaid appointments who do not complete this training.
  • Employees and their supervisor will receive email reminders until the training is complete.
