Two new AI-powered tools have been introduced to your Google Workspace. NotebookLM and Vids are now available to students, faculty and staff.

NotebookLM

With NotebookLM, you upload your own sources — like notes, research papers and textbook chapters — for the tool to summarize and organize into an easy-to-digest format. It’s designed to improve learning, help you analyze information and spark new ideas.

To use this tool, visit notebooklm.google.com and log in with your NC State account.

Like Google Gemini, NotebookLM has added data protection. To ensure your data is protected, you must log in with your NC State account. This tool is approved for green (not sensitive) and yellow (moderately sensitive) data only as defined by the Data Management Framework.

Vids

Vids is a user-friendly video editing tool that empowers you to easily create professional-looking videos, even without prior video editing experience.

To use this tool, visit vids.google.com and log in with your NC State account.
