ITPC Transitions to New Tool
The university’s IT Purchase Compliance (ITPC) process has transitioned to a new tool. As of Nov. 10, all new ITPC requests and renewals will be submitted and tracked through ProcessUnity.
This transition will provide users with more visibility on the status of requests and streamline annual renewals. Although the platform has changed, the overall request process remains largely the same. As a reminder, IT purchases must be reviewed annually.
About ITPC
The ITPC process ensures IT purchases are compatible and compliant with university systems, processes and regulations. An ITPC review is required for all IT purchases that fall into one of the following categories:
- Involve red or purple data, artificial intelligence, HIPAA, PCI or are subject to export control regulations
- Include digital components, such as websites, mobile applications or software-as-a-service, intended for use by the NC State community
- Cost $5,000 or more
Outstanding ITPC Requests
All outstanding ITPC requests submitted in the NC State IT Service Portal prior to Nov. 10 will be completed in the service portal as usual. This could result in some users having requests in both platforms for a period of time.
Review any outstanding requests in the service portal now and let Vendor Risk and License Management (VRLM) know if the purchase is no longer needed.
