New Gemini Features Widely Available
Gemini is now incorporated directly into Google Workspace in Docs, Slides, Forms and more. Many features that were previously only available to Google AI Pro license holders are now available to students, faculty and full-time staff.
Unlock generative AI capabilities across Google Workspace:
- Docs: Create or refine content in seconds with the Help me write feature and the Ask Gemini side panel of Docs.
- Slides: Enhance presentations with the ability to create original images and slides with the Help me visualize feature and the Ask Gemini side panel in Slides.
- Forms: Quickly create forms with the Help me create a form feature and see AI summaries of responses.
- Vids: Create polished videos with a simple text prompt or from existing slides.
For Google AI Pro license holders, enhanced features remain.

Availability
Most of these features have already rolled out to students, faculty and full-time staff. These features will not be integrated into generic accounts, user accounts under age of 18 or no-pay accounts. Gemini’s new integrations are turned on by default and are not available to turn off at the domain or individual level.
