Earlier this year, the Office of Information Technology (OIT) announced the university would transition from Shibboleth to Microsoft Entra ID as the new single sign-on (SSO) solution.

Effective July 29, the look and feel of the Entra login experience changed. Most users will see the change immediately, though there may be a delay for others.

As a reminder, the transition to Entra is happening gradually, so you will see both the Entra and Shibboleth login experiences over the next few months. Always double check the URL to verify you are on a legitimate login page:

• An Entra login page’s URL will always start with login.microsoftonline.com.
• A Shibboleth login page’s URL will always start with shib.ncsu.edu.
