Starting Sept. 14, NC State’s Google Workspace will migrate to a new single sign-on system. You may notice a new login experience through the end of September.

This change is part of a campuswide transition from Shibboleth to Entra ID. Other major systems, including MyPack, Zoom and Moodle, will migrate later this semester. Smaller systems will gradually migrate through the end of the year.

What you need to know

• Login credentials: You will continue to log in to systems with your Unity ID and password.
• Login pages: During this gradual transition, you will see both Entra ID and Shibboleth login pages depending on which system you are accessing.
• Login URLs: An Entra ID login page’s URL will always start with login.microsoftonline.com. A Shibboleth login page’s URL will always start with shib.ncsu.edu.
