NC State celebrates Cybersecurity Awareness Month
Do you know how to protect yourself from cybercriminals? In observance of Cybersecurity Awareness Month, OIT is sponsoring “Do Your Part. BeCyberSmart” to provide you with practical advice and tools that will help you to protect yourself and the university against threats that target sensitive data.

- Mobile Security for Your Android & iOS Devices
10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 15 online

2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 19 online

- Data Security Training
On Monday, Oct. 18, all NC State employees, including student employees and no pay account holders, will receive an email notification with instructions to complete the annual Data Security Training. The training must be completed by Monday, Jan. 31, 2022. The online training focuses on cybersecurity awareness topics critical to the university, including phishing, data classification and mobile device security. This training is one of many IT resources that can help reduce human error — the leading cause of compromised systems.
