Google Meet offers closed captioning in different languages

Did you know that Google Meet offers closed captioning in different languages? 

If you need to conduct or translate your meeting in a different language: 

• Open Google Meet.
• Select the More options icon at the bottom of your screen. 
• Select Settings and a new window will appear. 
• Click Captions at the bottom of the left-hand menu.
• Under Captions, from the drop-down menu, select the language people will use in the meeting:
  • English 
  • French 
  • German 
  • Portuguese (Brazil)
  • Spanish (Mexico)  
  • Spanish (Spain)
• Under Translated captions, you can also translate conversation from a Google Meet call in English to closed captioning in:
  • French
  • German
  • Portuguese
  • Spanish
• Click the X in the top-right corner to return to your meeting. 

Note: Google Meet does not save transcripts.
