October IT Quick Hall To Highlight Campus Emergency Preparedness

Join NC State Chief Information Officer Marc Hoit for the next IT Quick Hall on Oct. 23 from 11:30 a.m. to noon. Hoit will provide a brief update on campus IT news and introduce guest speaker Amy Orders.

Orders is the assistant vice chancellor for Emergency Operations and Environmental Health and Public Safety, with service teams that support campus operations during unplanned events and crises. In partnership with the Office of Information Technology, Emergency Preparedness and Strategic Initiatives facilitates planning on the unit and department level for resiliency thinking and preparedness. Since campus is highly dependent on a robust IT infrastructure for its mission, having a solid action plan is essential. Add this event to your calendar. 

Also mark your calendar for next month’s IT Quick Hall on Nov. 20 from 11:30 a.m. to noon. The session will feature Lt. Col. Seth Barun, chief of cyber operations for the North Carolina National Guard (NCNG).
