Message from NC State CIO Marc Hoit
While NC State University responds to the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the Office of Information Technology (OIT)’s mission is clear: to continue to provide the campus IT infrastructure that is critical to the university’s operations during this extraordinary time.
OIT staff work tirelessly to provide the campus community with dependable IT applications, systems and services. Internally, we are making provisions for our staff to remain safe during this time. But, rest assured, you can continue to utilize our IT services with the same confidence you had in the past.
We continue to monitor this situation carefully. And as part of the university’s business continuity planning, we take this opportunity to inform the campus community of resources that can support remote work situations:
- For data security
Information security requirements, such as the Endpoint Protection Standard, remain enforced.
- For IT Support
The NC State Help Desk is available to provide IT support to you and to answer questions you might have about telecommuting resources during normal business hours.
- For working remotely
See Telecommuting Resources for information about remotely accessing campus IT resources.
- For accessing files and other work-related services
