The Cisco Wireless IP Phone 8821 Desktop Charger works on AC power or from a charged spare phone battery. If your phone has a protective case, you don’t need to remove the case before you charge your phone in the desktop charger – the charger adapts to fit the phone!

Built-in Speakerphone
The charger includes a speakerphone that you can use while the phone is docked. Use the phone volume buttons to control the speakerphone volume and the Mute button on the charger itself. When the speakerphone is muted, the Mute button lights red.
Phone Charging Indications
When you put your phone into the charger, the phone indicates that the battery is charging with the red LED on the top of the phone. If the phone is turned on when you put it into the charger, you see a message on the screen. If the phone is turned off or the battery is too weak, you see an icon displayed on the screen.
Spare Battery Charging Indications
You can charge a spare battery with the additional charging port behind the main phone charging port. When you put a spare battery into the charger, the Battery LED (to the right of the phone) lights to show the charging status.
