What are the new “Touch-Free” print release and QR Codes on the printers?

New for the Fall 2020 semester, each WolfPrint FollowMe printer on NC State’s campus will feature a Quick Response or QR code on its front panel for touch-free print release.  While traditional print release using an NCSU ID card or manual login will still be available, users have the option to scan a QR code using their mobile device and release their print job from the web.  For more information on how to use it, see https://oit.ncsu.edu/wolfprint/releasing/.

Do the printers support duplex?

Yes. Each Lexmark printer supports automatic duplex (double-sided printing). If you are printing from a lab machine, choose the duplex option in the print driver. If you are printing from a mobile device, use Mobility Print and choose the duplex option after selecting the WolfPrint FollowMe printer.  Web Print does NOT support duplex.  There are no discounts offered for double sided printing.

Can I scan documents from a WolfPrint printer?

Yes. Certain models of WolfPrint printers have scan to Google My Drive capability.  To locate a printer, see

Printers with Scan and Photocopy Capability and expand the “Multifunction Printer” link.
