- Introduction to Google Keep will be offered on Tuesday, Feb. 18 from noon to 1 p.m. in Room 110 of the Avent Ferry Technology Center. Google Keep makes it easy to organize your notes with color coding, labels and reminders. Join OIT trainers for an introduction to this G Suite core app and explore how to edit and create new notes in Google Docs, pin notes, organize Keep notes, record notes with voice dictation, transcribe text from images, share and collaborate with others, and more. - Report2Web Training will be offered on Tuesday, Feb. 18 from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. in Room 110 of the Avent Ferry Technology Center. This course is intended for new and current users of Report2Web, a web-based enterprise report distribution, archival and retrieval solution that allows you to access critical business documents. This course will show you how to navigate and use Report2Web to find reports for which you have access. Approvers will also learn how to approve reports. To register, visit REPORTER.
- Google Drive: Create, Collaborate & Get Organized will be offered on Wednesday, Feb. 19 from 9 a.m. to noon in Room 110 of the Avent Ferry Technology Center. During this hands-on workshop, you will learn how to use Drive to manage your resources in a collaborative environment. Primary topics will include organizing files and folders, securing documents through file sharing permissions, group editing and collaboration, and common tools throughout Google’s suite of apps. - Cisco WebEx will be offered on Wednesday, Feb. 19 from noon to 1 p.m. in Room 110 of the Avent Ferry Technology Center. This Lunch & Learn event will provide an overview of how Cisco WebEx Online Meetings enables you to virtually meet, share content and video conference with anyone in the world with an internet connection, including mobile users. - Google Forms will be offered on Thursday, Feb. 20 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. in Room 110 of the Avent Ferry Technology Center. This course will cover the basics of creating forms, collaborative editing and viewing data in spreadsheets and charts. It also will highlight several advanced features, such as custom themes, page breaks, question validation, and embedding forms in websites. To register, visit REPORTER.
- Intermediate WordPress: Content Management will be offered on Tuesday, Feb. 25 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. in Room 110 of the Avent Ferry Technology Center. You’ve learned the basics of WordPress, but now what? How do you take all of your ideas and communicate them effectively on the web? In this workshop, OIT Design, Education and Outreach will show you how to develop effective information architecture, determine good content from bad content and ensure your website is accessible to all users. - Gmail Best Practices will be offered on Wednesday, Feb. 26 from noon to 1 p.m online via Zoom. In this session, OIT Trainers will explore several of Gmail’s underutilized tools, provide tips on how to better manage your inbox and highlight some newly released features. A few topics include message composition tips to avoid looking “phishy,” spam and phishing reporting, schedule send, snooze, filters and labels, templates, Yet Another Mail Merge (YAMM), and more! - Gmail Level 2: Advanced Productivity will be offered on Thursday, Feb. 27 from 9 a.m. to noon in Room 110 of the Avent Ferry Technology Center. Building on Gmail: More Than Your Inbox, this advanced hands-on workshop takes Gmail to the next level. You will learn more about labels, filters, canned responses, scheduling Google Calendar Events, Hangouts, and using Google Drive through Gmail along with any planned or newly released features. - Gmail Level 1: More Than Your Inbox will be offered on Thursday, March 5 from 9 a.m. to noon in Room 110 of the Avent Ferry Technology Center. There is more to Gmail than just composing, replying to and forwarding messages. - Jamf Pro Best Practices for Packagers will be offered on Thursday, March 5 from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. in Room B3 of the Hillsborough Building. Learn best practices on how to use Jamf Pro to configure OS X devices and install software. Concepts include adding and managing printers, creating and managing Active Directory bindings, adding Dock Items to OS X Devices, and creating no-payload PKG packages. To register, visit REPORTER.
- Web Accessibility Jeopardy will be offered on Friday, March 6 from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. in Room 106 of the Avent Ferry Technology Center. Join OIT staff in this exciting web accessibility version of Jeopardy! Participants will be divided into teams and learn web accessibility basics while answering clues in the form of a question. - Google Calendar: Advanced Productivity will be offered on Wednesday, March 11 from 9 a.m. to noon in Room 110 of the Avent Ferry Technology Center. This workshop will focus on the calendar interface, event details and calendar management. - Cisco Jabber: Your All-In-One Collaboration Tool! will be offered on Thursday, March 12 from noon to 1 p.m. in Room 110 of the Avent Ferry Technology Center. This Lunch & Learn will provide an overview of how Cisco Jabber streamlines communications and enhances productivity by unifying presence, instant messaging, voice, video, voice messaging, screen sharing, and conferencing capabilities securely in one client on your desktop and mobile device. - System Access Request Training (SAR) is now offered online. This training will provide an overview of the SAR application for campus requesters and approvers and will demonstrate how to submit a SAR request for different connected systems.
