Come to Second Annual IT Community Awards Celebration on Nov. 19

Let’s celebrate IT! 

You’re cordially invited to attend the Second Annual IT Community Awards Celebration on Thursday, Nov. 19 at 3 p.m. The awards recognize teams and individuals who have made a significant collaborative impact at NC State. 

Twenty-three nominations were submitted for this year’s three IT Community Awards. Awards and nominees are:

  • Extraordinary Team Impact Award recognizes a high-functioning team that has facilitated, promoted or advanced the university mission, vision and values through its collaborative efforts. The following teams have been nominated for this award:
    • Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) Team
    • College of Agriculture and Life Sciences (CALS) IT Service Desk
    • ClassTech and DELTA Lecture Capture
    • College of Natural Resources (CNR) IT Team
    • Design and Web Services
    • Enterprise Application Services (EAS) Advancement Systems
    • NC State Help Desk
    • OIT Desktop Support Team
    • Wicked Problems: Wolfpack Solutions
  • Team Player Award recognizes an individual who has taken initiative to foster collaboration, communication and cooperation with units or individuals outside their respective department. This individual’s performance has gone above and beyond bringing the campus community together, while furthering the department’s or university’s goals and mission. The following individuals have been nominated for this award:

    • Denise Luken
    • Donna Petherbridge
    • Gary Gatling
    • Kevin Ficker
    • Louise Flinn
    • Matt Fields
    • Richard Hodson 
  • Rising Star Award recognizes a newer employee who has made significant collaborative contributions to their department or university community. This individual has innovative ideas and volunteered to assist when and where needed, all while demonstrating a record of improvement, excellent customer service, cooperation, and motivation. The following individuals have been nominated for this award:
    • Anthony Santucci
    • Kaity Aubuchon
    • Matt Fields
    • Robin McKinney
