OIT Walk-in Center, NC State Help Desk announce operating hours for Winter Break

It’s beginning to look a lot like Winter Break. The hustle-bustle of campus traffic is slowing down as students and employees vacate university facilities and residence halls for a much-needed recharge. 

Winter Break officially starts Friday, Dec. 24, so there’s still time to make sure you request any IT support before you leave campus.

Walk-in Center

The operating hours for the OIT Walk-in Center, located in Room 101 of the West Dunn Building at 2901 Thurman Dr., will be:

  • Open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Wednesday, Dec. 22.
  • Open 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 23.
  • Closed Friday, Dec. 24 through Sunday, Jan. 2.
  • Open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. beginning Monday, Jan. 3. 

Customers who have left their computers at the Walk-in Center for service will need to pick them up before Thursday, Dec. 23, or they will need to wait until the Walk-in Center reopens on Monday, Jan. 3. 


NC State Help Desk

The operating hours for the NC State Help Desk will be:

  • Open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Wednesday, Dec. 22.
  • Open 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 23.
  • Closed Friday, Dec. 24 through Sunday, Jan. 2.
  • Open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. beginning Monday, Jan. 3.
