The OIT Walk-In Center offers students one-on-one support for software, hardware, network connectivity, and Unity account issues.
If you need help with connecting a device to the network in your residence hall room, please look at the information provided by ResNet first. If you need assistance with installing Engineering software, please contact ITECS first.
No appointment is necessary. Just walk in.
Scope of Service:
The Walk-in Center assists students with their personal computers. We also assist students, faculty, staff and other members of the campus community with connecting to the NCSU network, Duo, NCSU email and other Unity account issues. The Walk-in Center provides hardware support for Apple, Lenovo Thinkpad and some Dell computers provided they are covered by their manufacturers warranty. Support for other brands and models may be available – just bring your computer in.
8am – 5pm Monday through Friday
We are located in room 101 of the West Dunn Building on the corner of Dan Allen and Thurman Dr.

Pay-by-space parking is available in the Dan Allen Deck and the Bragaw parking lot.

The Walk-in Center reserves the right to limit the number of different computers a student may bring in. Our services are intended to be used by students for the computers that they are currently using. Please don’t bring in computers purchased at surplus with the intent of reselling them.
