OIT Walk-in Center

Walk-In CenterStudents can receive computer support in these areas:

  • Operating system
    Including virus and spyware removal. The WIC supports current versions of Windows and Mac OS only.
  • Software
    Most software packages are easy to install, but if you encounter difficulty, Walk-in Center staff are happy to help.
  • Network connectivity
    Eduroam, Nomad, and wired connections for personal devices
  • Warranty and hardware repair
    For computers and warranties purchased through the NC State Bookstore
  • Unity account
    Including password resets, disabled accounts
  • 2-Factor Authentication (2FA) support
    Duo Security and Google Two-Step Verification support

When you visit

  • Bring your Wolfpack One Card (campus ID card)
    so we can provide you with the best possible customer service.
  • Plan to allow at least 20 minutes
    for us to properly diagnose your computer’s problems.

  • Walk-In Center closes at 5 p.m.

  • Walk-in Center is closed.
  • If holiday is on Friday, Walk-in Center is also closed Saturday.
  • If holiday is on Monday, Walk-in Center is also closed the previous Saturday.

Please note: the gate on Dan Allen Drive at the railroad overpass is CLOSED to vehicles between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday-Friday when classes are in session.
