Vice Chancellor for Information Technology and Chief Information Officer

Dr. Marc I. Hoit is NC State’s Vice Chancellor for Information Technology (VCIT) and Chief Information Officer. As the VCIT, he has led the campus through the implementation of the campus-wide IT Strategic Plan, an IT Governance Structure, and a Strategic Operating Plan. NC State is implementing initiatives resulting from the Strategic Plan including use of service management, an update of Governance, better integration of data and more. He has also launched a number of key foundational projects that have improved efficiency and effectiveness of IT on campus.
