Information Security Advisory Group

The Information Security Advisory Group (ISAG) acts as an advisory group to OIT’s Security and Compliance unit to:

• Make policy and operational recommendations to the Strategic IT Committee (SITC).
• Recommend solutions related to establishing and monitoring universitywide security policies, regulations, guidelines, standards and priorities and performing other duties as assigned.
• Identify and assess university security, data privacy and compliance needs and assist with their development and implementation.
• Work with OIT, SITC and other governance subgroups to review progress on security initiatives, to provide feedback, to make recommendations and to serve as a forum for communication with the campus community at large.
• Serve as a touch point, at both the strategic and tactical levels, to ensure that the actions of one IT organization will not have unnecessarily adverse impacts on another.
