Policies, Regulations and Rules

NC State’s computer resources are owned by the university and are provided primarily to support its academic and administrative functions. The use of these resources is governed by federal and state law as well as university policies and procedures.

The following policies, regulations and rules (PRRs) apply to individuals when using the computing and data network resources provided by NC State. Colleges and departments may have additional rules and procedures for the acceptable use of their IT facilities and services.

Use of IT Resources Policy

This policy governs the use of all IT resources at NC State and applies to all students, faculty, staff and any individual who has access to IT resources.
