Technician, the NC State student newspaper, published a series of opinion pieces in its March 31 edition on potential cuts in IT expenditures. Vice Chancellor Marc Hoit contributed an article entitled From Adversity Springs Innovation. Hoit lists four preliminary ideas being explored to reduce IT costs in response to university-wide budget cuts, and invites students, faculty and staff to contribute ideas in the online OIT Budget Reduction Strategies Forum.
