Hillsborough Building access to change on July 1

Due to budgetary constraints, beginning July 1, 2009, there will no longer be a security guard in the front lobby of the Hillsborough Building. In the lobby, visitors will be able to use a phone to gain entrance further into the building by the party they are visiting. The phone will also have options to reach building-based services such as the Optical Mark Reading Service.
OIT employees having a need to access the Hillsborough Building will do so using a proximity card. Employees who already have a proximity card that allows them to access the building at night and on weekends should simply start using it on weekdays. Employees needing access who have a proximity card that isn’t currently authorized for the building, should send a request to oit-iso-dcm@lists.ncsu.edu to authorize Hillsborough Building access on the card. Employees needing access who don’t already have a proximity card should see their manager to obtain a card. Once they receive their card, they should send a request to oit-iso-dcm@lists.ncsu.edu to authorize Hillsborough Building access on the card.
