Hoit wins Triangle Business Journal “Best CIO Public Sector” Award

NC State’s Vice Chancellor for Information Technology and Chief Information Officer, Dr. Marc Hoit has been named a top IT executive in the Triangle.

Dr. Hoit was selected a winner of the Triangle Business Journal CIO of the Year Awards (see p. 28) in the “Best CIO Public Sector” category. In partnership with the North Carolina Technology Association, the Triangle Business Journal honored a total of 23 tech-savvy executives at an awards ceremony in Raleigh on Oct. 18. The awards recognize individuals who have used information technology in innovative ways to create competitive advantage, optimize business processes, and enable growth.
