The antivirus service team is very near finishing a SLA internal to OIT.  The antivirus selection team has started testing 6 products to be purchased at the end of the current Trend Micro contract. Discussion

3) Update on CrashPlan   – 10 min.

OIT OCC has been asked by CAS to talk about our use of CrashPlan.  We have been using CrashPlan 3.x for about 6 months in a hybrid setup (local authN and authZ server, cloud storage).  The software has worked very well for us for 22 users and we will renew.  We are currently trying to understand the Internet 2 license changes presented at UNC CAUSE and how the pricing works relative to setup fees and per seat cost.  Discussion

4) Casper 9 transition Update- 10 min

Well it was very, very slow but it has finished !(Almost) OIT did move to a vendor hosted version of Casper Suite 9.2 as part of the upgrade to Casper Suite version 9.22 on Dec 23, 2013.  Complete details of the outstanding issues and changes follow in MacTech but the 2 main issues are a) enabling JDS servers as master distribution points and b) forcing all machines in swm.oit.ncsu.edu to move to nc.jamfcloud.com.  Discussion
