2) Various Updates – 10 min.
Updates on recent Casper Issues and Updates. CrashPlan rollout continues. Google Drive Unlimited storage for any file type. VPP and DEP updates. Discussion.
3) Sharing Software Packing – 20 min.
OIT is proposing that we start sharing the responsibility of packaging software. We will focus in 2 main areas first: 1) AutoPKGR to completely automate latest versions of all “free” software and 2) agree to test packages from units on campus which have shared licenses or have licenses that can be installed or managed at the Site level. OIT has started by creating 13 packages on nc.jamfcloud.com under the Category aaUNC-System with naming prefix UNCWide-AutoPKG-. OIT also has first shared license package NCSU-Global-Office_2011sp3_Installer (https://nc.jamfcloud.com/packages.html?id=1603&o=r).
CHASS is working on a sane installer for SPSS which we should be able to use as the first Site level licensed app.
